Children in kindergarten are eager and curious learners who are developing social and emotional relationships. Play is a crucial part to developing children's learning. We follow Early Learning Framework (EYLF) which is a national curriculum for children aged 0-5 years.
Strathpine Kindergarten provides 2 units offering the Approved Kindergarten Program during school terms for children who are turning 4 by 30 June in the year they attend (the year prior to Prep)2022 Groups:
Kindy Cats - 3 day group
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Hours 9am to 2.15pm
Kindy Koalas - 3 day group with Bush Kindy
Wednesdays, Thursdays and FridaysHours 8.45am to 2pm Bush Kindy in Term 2 & 3 at bush location 8.30am to 1pm
Singing Birds - 2 day group
Mondays and Tuesdays hours 8am to 3.30pm
Bilbies - 3 Year Old Program
Thursdays and Fridays 9am to 2.30pm
Children MUST be 3 when they commence this groupThis group is NOT funded
Group structures and times are subject to change year to year. Our offers of enrolment commence in June/July and any changes to groups are notified to our families on our waiting lists at that time.
All groups are run by University qualified Early Childhood Teachers and qualified Assistants who have numerous years experience teaching Kindergarten aged children. These teaching staff work with the same group of children each day to provide the children with stability and continuity during the year.
